ok ok ok, I was wrong
Someone called my last blog trash and I guess if you were going by my prediction, it was trash.
I only missed by ALOT
So I picked de Sales to win and Tattnall handled them 11-1
the worst pick of my career ?
Maybe so
But lets get a grip of why I even bother to make a pick like this. My question is why not. Mount de Sales had been playing great baseball and Tattnall was just playing like Tattnall. Unfortunately Tattnall being Tattnall is better than anyone around here by a long shot.
First of all, the pitcher I barely had heard of, Matt Blair, is just good. This kid has waited his chance for three years to get on the mound for Tattnall, and all year long he has been ace number two behind Garrett Houston.
To you Matt Blair, I apologize. I love a kid who waits his turn and takes advantage of the opportunity when it comes his way.
Tattnall is not all Logan Simmons:Simmons was 1-3 with two runs scored, but he didn't carry the offense. Luke Laskey had three hits, Austin Marchman had four hits, and Trey Ham hit a long homerun. Tattnall is strong up and down the lineup.
The Tattnall way works: The first thing out of Joey Hillers mouth is exactly why I thought Mount de Sales had a chance. He said that the most important thing about winning was to keep the seeding it has for the state playoffs. He doesn't have banners around the field celebrating region championships. But it was pretty evident that his kids were ready to play.
I really worry about Mount de Sales in the state playoffs. They will have to find an answer after being handled by Tattnall. They got decent starting pitching but they cant kick it around and expect to go too far. But Bubba Pool is a quality coach and he has eight seniors, so hopefully they will re-group and play better baseball.
Yes Tattnall faithful, my pick was wrong, but maybe it's not such a big deal. Maybe someone read it and maybe someone got pissed about it.
