Yes it has been awhile since write anything. Its kind of the off season and I haven't been that busy with the news paper, but I just have not been motivated to put anything down here.
Heres how it works. Usually in my half asleep morning shower, ideas pop into my head and when it does, I have to get to a laptop and get those thoughts on paper. That's where my blog comes from most of the time.
My mind has been blank for about a month.
No good, well maybe good for you all , but not good for a blog.
I have tried to figure out why my mind goes blind for periods of time. Is it because I am working to hard at my real job ? It very well may be that although people who work with me would have questions about that one. I have a job that can be stressful at times but I cant really blame my lack of blogging on my job.
So maybe there has been nothing sports worthy to blog on ? Hmm, lets see, Aysha Roberts scores 21 points in her final game, Qua Solomon signs his scholarship, Tattnall Square has another dominating baseball team, Laura Conway, a swimmer gets into the Macon Hall of Fame, I saw Mark Farriba at a basketball game, Jaime Kaplan is the freaking grand marshal of a parade, the Cherry blossom golf tournament was a classic and I even saw a fight between a player and a dad ? No I have had plenty of stuff to write about but I just have not been motivated. Its kinda like I am a senior in high school who has spring fever.
Right now all I want to do is go play golf. Its a beautiful day outside and I am sitting inside working, although I can leave at any time usually. Its depressing actually because the main reason I don't go play golf is that I have no friends to go play golf with.It's one of the disadvantages of getting old. Friends have moved or are in wheel chairs or too drunk to play. Some of my friends don't play golf, and really seriously, what I do sometimes could not be considered playing golf. Its pretty bad at times, but I still love the game.
My life has not been the same since LaBamba closed. I miss that place so much. I cant go eat Mexican anymore un-bathed. That really sucks.
Enough complaining. who do I think I am ?
But hey maybe one more.
In the past few months I have been accused of being a homer at least three times. The Stratford folks say I love Tattnall. The Tattnall folks say I love Stratford. The Covenant folks say I love Windsor. The MDS folks aren't aware that I blog, and the FPD folks just plain don't care . Do I have my favorites ? I admit I do.
But I will never tell
