Braves and Robby and maybe a few more things

My Goodness
I think this is the longest period of time I have gone without blogging and it gets to the point of , hmmm am I going to do this anymore and I tell myself I want to so I tell myself I had better write something soon or all of my fans (11) will forget about me.
But to write, one must be motivated.
I could write about the Braves and what I think , but I mean, doesn't talk radio about cover that? We can listen to them beat up managers.
Ok I know you all want my opinion on the Braves situation, but I will do it as if someone is interviewing me.
Why will I do it that way ?
It just feels right.
Question: So John, since you are an avid Braves fan, what do you think of the Braves right now.
Answer : Well I think they are probably the worst team in professional baseball history and they will be very lucky to win 60 games this year. They have very few major league players on the roster right now, and I think management should be ashamed of the product that they have put on the field. I mean I know its a youth movement and we have loads of prospects, but prospects are just prospects until they advance and become real players. How are we to know that these prospects are as good as people think. I mean, the people that picked these prospects to be the future are the same ones that fielded the 2016 team that they thought would be somewhat respectable, so why should we believe in them?

Question: Talk for a minute about what you see for next year? I obviously don't know everyone but I assume the lineup will have Freeman, Albies, Swanson, Ruiz, and Mallex in it. Markakis will be gone, which means we will have two corner outfield spots to fill and that will be difficult. The pitching should be much better with an influx of young arms, but lets hope they stay healthy. As far as next year, well the kids might win 70 games if lucky. This is not a quick fix. The Braves may not have a wining record, in my opinion for three to four more years. But really, the Braves have dropped the ball because they have no great catching prospects, and no catcher at the major league level that can play. They put the farm on Bethancourt and then gave up on him. And lets not forget, this team has no power and really not many homerun hitters in the minors.

Question: Fire the manager ?
Answer: Sure lets blame him. Is he a good manager ? I don't really think so, but it wouldn't matter who was managing right now, they wouldn't have more wins. Ok maybe one or two, but not am amount that matters. I believe the Braves will probably fire him soon, let Pendleton do it the rest of the year, and then bring in someone fresh next year.

Last Question: Will you pay 9 dollars for a beer?
Answer: Nope but I will pay six dollars for a six pack and shot gun the entire bunch before I go into the park.

I have to talk a minute about one of my favorite interviews lately. Robby Watson from FPD was so impressive this week that I ended up talking to him for over an hour just because he is a neat kid. He attempts to win the shot put and discus today at the state track meet, and I feel confident that he would do it. He had to make a tough decision to give up football, an unpopular decision, to focus on track because he wanted to be active in sports at the college level. The plan worked because he is heading to Southern Miss next year. Yes that's D1 Southern Miss. Just goes to show that hard work pays off. He made the tough decision and it paid off for him. I could have dome a lot more with the story for sure. I have never had an FPD kid actually be indebted to Stratford before lol.

OK that should be enough for now. Give me some ideas for topics to write on my friends.
